Description

The new MDG.G 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six represents a significant evolution from its GT3 predecessor. Key upgrades include the addition of individual throttle bodies for improved throttle response, while the exhaust system and has a redesigned rear silencer that sheds 10kg of weight. This powertrain configuration essentially mirrors what was used in the previous-generation 991 Speedster.

However, the most significant change lies in the front suspension architecture. The 992.1 GT3 abandons the traditional MacPherson strut setup in favour of a sophisticated double wishbone configuration—a design previously reserved for Porsche's 911 race cars. This represents a major departure from conventional 911 suspension design and signals Porsche's commitment to bringing track-bred technology to their road-going sports cars.
