Description
The Bullet name returned in 1948 with the Enfield 350 sports bike, known for its swinging-arm rear suspension. After a successful debut in the Colmore Cup trial, the Bullet went on to achieve its first major triumph in the ISDT later that year. The innovative bike featured an overhead-valve engine with a dry-sump oil tank placed in the rear of the crankcase, paired with a four-speed gearbox mounted in a 'semi-unit' construction. Riders could choose from road, trials, or scrambles versions, each with tailored equipment and gearing. In the mid-1950s, a 500cc racer was even added to the lineup. In 1953, the 500cc Bullet was introduced. When production of both models ceased in 1962, the Bullet name was given to the 350cc unitary construction Crusader 250.
This particular bike has been a part of a collector's collection for quite some time. It was originally brought into South Africa by a well-known collector and later sold to the current owner. It's unique and rare, with only 191 ever made in the world.
This bike starts and rides well, two kicks and she starts.
