Description

The F355's V8 engine underwent significant improvements beyond the modest displacement increase from 3.4L to 3.5L. The most notable enhancement was the adoption of a revolutionary 5-valve-per-cylinder head design, which dramatically improved airflow characteristics and boosted power output 279 kW; 375 hp at 8,250 rpm.

Addressing reliability concerns from previous models, the F355 featured comprehensive transmission improvements. Engineers incorporated a coolant-based heat exchanger that accelerated gearbox oil warming during startup, ensuring optimal operating temperatures more quickly. The cable-operated gear selection system from the 348 was replaced with a more precise rod-driven actuation mechanism, delivering significantly improved shift quality and reliability.

This Ferrari 355 was brought into South Africa in 2011; it was correctly imported and licensed and registered. 

This 355 also benefits from a recently cambelt service, a new roof and new tyres and most importantly a full Capristo exhaust. (original exhaust is available)
