The 964 represented a significant evolution in Porsche's lineup, with 85% new components compared to the preceding Carrera 3.2. Initially launched in 1989 exclusively as the all-wheel drive "Carrera 4," Porsche subsequently introduced the rear-wheel drive Carrera 2 in 1990. Both configurations were available in coupé, Targa, and Cabriolet body styles. Notably, the 964 was the final generation to feature the classic removable Targa roof until its reintroduction with the 991 in 2011. Powering the 964 was the newly developed naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six M64 engine.

This car benefits from a recent engine rebuild done through Porsche Centre and a new DME unit fitted recently, making it a useable and reliable 911.
