1984 Ferrari Mondial Spider - 88 000kms
1984 Ferrari Mondial Spider - 88 000kms
Description
The Ferrari Mondial (Type F108) is a mid-engine V8 grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1980 to 1993, featuring design by Pininfarina and bodywork by Carrozzeria Scaglietti.
Available as a 2+2 coupé or cabriolet, the Mondial was designed with a slightly higher roofline, larger dimensions, and increased weight to accommodate occasional rear seating for children or small adults.
Replacing the Ferrari 308/208 GT4 coupé, the Mondial remains the last V8, rear mid-engine, 2+2 Ferrari.
The name "Mondial," French for "global," reflected its compliance with 1980 safety and emission standards worldwide, as well as Ferrari's significant motor racing victories. Ferrari had previously used the nameplate in the 1950s to celebrate Formula 1 World Championships and in the 1970s to mark its Formula 1 World Constructors Championships.
